Here’s a quick glance at a few of the sites we’ve shaped recently. While we don’t use a planer and foam, our websites aren’t any less customized than that modern-day thruster gathering dust in your garage. Surf Specialties

The original website for Strictly Hardcore Surf Specialties was like a rustic, old-school board desperately in need of some TLC. So, the Kahuna took out his pencil, sketched some ideas and came up with a new site that fit with the long-time Galveston shop’s aesthetic. In addition, the proprietors needed to get with the times and sell their products online. Our team set up an online surf shop where surfers could find the goods they wanted – all without leaving the comfort of their cabana.

Tanker Surf Charters

If you’re a surfer, there’s no way in hell you’re going to pass up a chance to work on a website for a business that promises to take waveriders on an adventure where they have the possibility of 10-minute waves rides. Yep, I said 10 minutes. Such is the reality for Tanker Surf Charters, who had the Kahuna create the company’s first web presence. The TSC site features allows prospects to sign up for a charter, buy merchandise, scan photos of recent adventures and check out a blog.

Texas City-La Marque Chamber of Commerce

While this isn’t a site for surfers, the good folks at the Texas City-La Marque Chamber of Commerce are longtime friends of the Kahuna. That’s why we jumped at the chance to work on the Chamber’s website. It features the ability for the organization to sell tickets online, accept membership applications through the site and stay in touch with members and prospective members by tying in directly with the group’s social media presence on Flickr, YouTube and Facebook.

Breakthrough Research Petrophysics

Who doesn’t love science? And as a surfer, the Kahuna has always been fascinated with the natural sciences. I mean rock, water, oil. What’s not to love? At any rate, Breakthrough Research Petrophysics – a startup consortium based in Houston – needed a first website and our team was there to pitch in from the beginning, providing the design and development on a fully customized WordPress-based site that allows the company’s owners to fully update the site themselves.
